WELCOME TO 30th ASSICON 2017


The Association of Spine Surgeons of India will be conducting their 30th Annual Conference in the city of Hyderabad.

On behalf of the Organising Committee of ASSICON 2017 it is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us from 26th to 29th of January 2017 and be a part of this scientific extravaganza. Cadaveric workshops, seminars, symposia, video demonstrations, booth lectures, meet the masters and many more interesting scientific sessions are being planned.

The venue of the conference is HICC, which is a world-class state of the art facility in the midst of IT hub. Another highlight of the conference is the pre conference scientific session to be conducted by Scoliosis Research Society (SRS Worldwide). Needless to say the best of international and national Faculty is being invited for this unique event.

On behalf of the Scientific Committee of 30th Annual Conference of the Association of Spine Surgeons of India, we invite you to submit abstract of your Clinical / Research work for VTI Gold Medal Paper / Podium Presentation / Poster presentation for this conference.

Scientific Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any abstract and decision of the scientific committee is final & binding.

Please Note:

  • Authors who would like to present their work for VTI Gold Medal Paper should upload the full paper along with the abstract.
  • Only the presenting author will be allowed to present his/her work, under any circumstances Co-Author will not be allowed to present the work.
  • One author cannot submit more than 3 papers including VTI Gold Medal paper.
  • Abstract should be no more than 300 words Use standard abbreviations in your abstract as needed.
  • The acceptance or rejection of an abstract will be notified to the presenting author via email.

  • Registration for the conference is mandatory for considering the abstract by the scientific committee.
  • Only the presenting author will be allowed to present his/her work, under any circumstances Co-Author will not be allowed to present the work.

  • Title should be bold and followed by one return.
  • Please do not put Author Details, Affiliation or Contact details in the abstract text box.
  • Abstract should not be more than 300 words.
  • Use standard abbreviations in your abstract as needed.

In the online system, up to 5 authors can be registered. If you would like to register more than 5 authors, please write a email to [email protected] with the names of additional authors.

In addition to the Paper ID provided when you first submit an abstract, you may edit the abstract as many times as desired before the deadline, using the proposal ID and password. You must manage recording and security protection for your password yourself. Since the proposal ID and password are necessary to confirm that your abstract has been successfully submitted, as well as to edit the abstract, please be sure to record them accurately. For security reasons, we will not answer any inquiries about proposal IDs and passwords.

TERMS and CONDITIONS

  • Microphone or any promotional activities, hindering or disturbing other sponsor/exhibitor will not be permitted. This is a must for security purpose.
  • The number of representatives of the sponsor/exhibitor at the conference venue will be limited, depending on the extent of sponsorship, at the discretion of the organizing committee.
  • All prices are exclusive of 15% Service Tax (subject to change as per the government policies).
  • Please be advised that your participation is not considered confirmed until payment has been received in full. Please note that all payments must be made in Indian Rupees.
  • Cancellations are to be made in writing (mail) or by Fax. 50% of the payment will be refunded if canceled before 31st Dec 2016, after which there will be no entitlement for any refund.
  • The Exhibition Committee reserves the right to modify or rearrange the floor plan or even cancel any sponsorship/Exhibitor, without assigning any reason thereof.
  • Sponsorship / Exhibition will be allocated on first come first served basis only after the Cheque/ Demand Draft for the booking amount is en-cashed and the Organizers reserve the right to cancel the booking in the event of non payment within the stipulated time.
  • All booking requests must be accompanied by 50% advance and the balance must be paid within 15 days. Written confirmation of booking will be given after 100% advance payment is received.
  • The sponsor/exhibitor must not cause any damage to the walls, panels and other areas of the venue. Incase of any such damage, the sponsor/exhibitor will have to indemnify the Organizers for the same.
  • Appointed Electrical Contractor will execute all electrical connections inside the stall and other areas. The sponsors / exhibitors are required to intimate the organizers in writing on the additional points required by them at least 30 days in advance. Please note all extra points/connections would be charged on Pro-rata basis.
  • The Exhibition Committee shall allocate the floor areas to meet the request of exhibitors as far as possible to their given preference but the same cannot be guaranteed by the Exhibition Committee.
  • Sponsor / Exhibition confirmed are NON TRANSFERABLE.
  • Companies wanting to import equipment or consumable for exhibition purpose should inform the conference secretariat at the time of booking to enable us to obtain International Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) approval & assist with our freight partner details.





Visa Guidelines



Foreign Nationals who wish to visit India for the conference need to possess a valid passport of their country and a valid Indian Visa.

ALL FOREIGN NATIONALS REQUIRE TO APPLY FOR A CONFERENCE VISA ONLY

Type of Visa: Conference Visa
Period: For the duration of the conference or seminar

Foreign passengers should ensure that they are in possession of valid Indian Visa before they start their journey to India except nationals of Nepal and Bhutan who do not require visa to enter India and nationals of Maldives who do not require visa for entry in India for a period up to 90 days (a separate Visa regime exists for diplomatic/official passport holders).

The Consular Passport and Visa (CPV) Division of the Ministry of External Affairs is responsible for issuance of Indian visas to the foreign nationals for their visit for various purposes. This facility is granted through various Indian missions abroad.

Visa fees are non-refundable and subject to change without notice. The High Commission reserves the right on granting and deciding type/duration of visa irrespective of the fees tendered at the time of making application. Granting of Visa does not confer the right of entry to India and is subject to the discretion of the Immigration Authorities.

Visa Application Form:
Visa application form is available at the office of Indian Embassy in the country.

Procedure for obtaining Visa:
Visas can be applied for in person or by post at the High Commission of India based in the country from where the candidate intends to depart for India.

Requirements for Visa:
Generally the following documents are required for obtaining Indian Visa. However, the requirement may vary from country to country.

  • Original passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Visa fee
  • Two passport size photographs
  • Supporting documents, where necessary
    • Invitation letter will be sent by ASSICON 2017 Secretariat after successful registration.
    • Approval letter from the Ministry of External affairs (MEA): Organising Committee of ASSICON 2017 will obtain the approval from MEA and upload the same on the website as and when received.
    • Approval letter from the Ministry of Home affairs(MHA): Organising Committee of ASSICON 2017 will obtain the approval from MHA and upload the same on the website as and when received.

How to reach HICC – from Airport
If you have booked your transfer in advance, look for placard with your name and the person holding it will assist you with your pre-booked transportation, otherwise head to the Radio Taxi counter present at the airport.

Radio Taxi service at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport is provided by leading service providers Meru and Sky cabs for the convenience of travellers. This is an air conditioned cab service with charges payable on the basis of meter reading at the end of the journey. Radio taxi can’t be pre-booked from Airport.

Only those taxis that have taken the license for operating Radio Taxi Service from the Government of Telangana can operate this service in Hyderabad Fare: Rs 21 per km, Minimum Rs 20 per km for the first 2 Km travelled and Waiting charges @ Rs 1 per minute. 25% night surcharge is applicable between 2300 hours to 0500 hours
